HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SANDY CATALANO SCHOLARSHIP

Thank you for your interest in applying for The Sandy Catalano Scholarship. Each year the Catalano Family will be awarding two scholarships; one to a male and female Long Island High School Senior. Every scholarship request will be considered as long as all information requested has been provided.

To apply for the scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

• Must reside on Long Island and attend a local high school
• Must be a senior with a minimum of 2 years of high school bowling
• Must have a passing GPA

All students that meet the eligibility requirements are requested to mail a letter that describes why they should be the scholarship recipient. The information sent should include the following:

• Career plans and goals
• Colleges you are applying to
• Bowling history and accomplishments
• Education accomplishments
• Charitable work performed (if any)
• Letters of recommendation from teachers and bowling coaches

Each letter/information will be reviewed by The Catalano Family. The chosen recipients will be notified and presented the scholarship at one of the annual awards dinner. The monetary amount of the scholarships will be based on the funds raised each year from The Sandy Catalano Scholarship Tournament. The male and female scholarships will have the same monetary value.

If you wish to apply for the Sandy Catalano Scholarship please mail all information to The Catalano Family, 150 Keyland Ct., Bohemia, NY 11716. The deadline for applying is February 1st.

Scholarship winners will be informed by mail around March 1st. A presentation to the scholarship winners will be made at their high school awards dinner or at the annual bowling awards dinner.
